(4) Check that the hydraulic pump, safety valve and power cylinder are in good condition. Connect the pressure gauge and switch that are compatible with the specified oil pressure, turn on the switch, turn the steering wheel to the end, and start the engine at low speed. At this time, see if the oil pressure gauge has reached the specified value. If the oil gauge readings reach the specified value, it indicates that the hydraulic pump is good and the fault is in the power cylinder and the distribution valve; otherwise, the hydraulic pump has a problem. When the steering wheel is turned quickly, it feels heavy. 1. Causes of malfunction (1) There is more air in the oil. (2) Poor safety valve. (3) Poor flow control valve. (4) The hydraulic pump supply flow is too small. 2, diagnosis and exclusion (1) First of all should see the oil level in the oil tank and whether there is foam in the oil. If there is insufficient fluid, it should be supplemented; if there is foam in the oil, it means that there is air in the oil system. The leak should be identified and eliminated, then the air in the oil circuit should be discharged. (2) Check the flow control valve and safety valve of the hydraulic pump. The two valves on the hydraulic pump can be removed, cleaned and placed on a spring tester for inspection, or compared with the old spring and the new spring. If it is found that the spring strength is weakened and the free length is shortened, it may be repaired and replaced as appropriate. (3) When the above fault cannot be eliminated even after the replacement of the spring or the adjustment, it means that the fault is not on the two valves, and the hydraulic pump may be worn. If necessary, the hydraulic pump should be replaced. Left and right steering feel different 1, the cause of the failure (1) The distribution valve spool valve deviation from the middle position, or in the middle position, but with the valve body shoulder gap size. (2) There is dirt blockage in the slide valve, so that the resistance is not the same when moving left and right. (3) Improper adjustment of the distribution valve adjustment nut. 2. Diagnosis and Troubleshooting This type of malfunction is generally caused by dirty oil and can be replaced with new oil. If it is confirmed that the quality of the oil is good, the adjustable distribution valve shall be readjusted; or the distribution valve shall be dismantled to check whether the slide valve is centered or if there is any burr at the shoulder, etc., and if necessary, carry out corresponding dressing. Diagnosis and Troubleshooting First check whether the oil is dirty. For a new or overhauled locomotive, the oil change rule after running-in is not seriously implemented, and the oil is often dirty. For longer-duty locomotives, this fault may be caused by the failure of the flow control valve or the distribution valve's reaction spring. If the engine is not started, turn the steering wheel to determine if the slide valve moves freely. Suspected, generally should be dismantled and checked. Hydraulic pump noise during steering 1. Cause of malfunction (1) The oil level in the hydraulic pump is too low, and the hydraulic pump draws in air during operation. (2) Filter strainer or tubing obstruction (3) Each pipe joint is loose or the pipe is broken. (4) The hydraulic pump is damaged or seriously worn. 2. Diagnosis and elimination Noise in the hydraulic pump during steering First, check the height of the tank and whether the hydraulic pump belt is too loose and slippery. If it is still good, you should check whether there is foam in the oil. If there is foam, find the leak. If there is no air leakage, it means that there is a blockage in the oil circuit or the hydraulic pump is damaged, and noise cannot be generated because the oil pressure cannot be established. Most of the time, it will be accompanied by heavy steering.
