Release date: 2010-06-28

From January to April of this year, China exported a total of 2 pacemakers, with a total value of 0.56 million US dollars. The unit price of the products was 0.28 million US dollars, which was much better than that in 2009. It is expected that the annual export volume will be basically the same as that in 2008. Flat.
Looking at the export situation of Chinese pacemakers in recent years, the fluctuations are large and basically shrinking; and the dependence on imports is strong. From January to April this year, China's cardiac pacemaker imports still maintained a good growth rate. A total of 2,199.8 million US dollars of pacemakers were imported, an increase of 10.28% year-on-year; the import volume was 17,100, an increase of 17.77%.

China's products have low technical content and lack of competitive advantage. In 2005, the export value of Chinese pacemakers was the highest in recent years, reaching 185,700 US dollars; in 2006, the export volume dropped rapidly to US$13,400; in 2007, it rebounded to US$2.6 million; The export volume in 2008 and 2007 is not much different. However, in 2009, the export volume fell sharply, only 0.06 million US dollars, the lowest in recent years.
The volatility of exports is small compared to exports. In addition to 2009, China's pacemaker exports are more than 12. Due to the serious decline in export value from 2005 to 2008, the export unit price of this product has been declining year by year, from US$10,900 in 2005 to US$0.085 million in 2008, and in 2009 it has dropped to US$0.015 million. The lowest in recent years. This also reflects the low technical content of Chinese pacemakers, which can only be exported at low prices.
Because the products do not have a competitive advantage, the number of Chinese heart pacemaker export enterprises is small, and the export areas are also unstable.
In 2008, the export enterprises were Shanghai Enno Logistics Co., Ltd. and Eastern Airlines Import and Export Co., Ltd.; in 2009, the export enterprises only had Eastern Airlines Import and Export Co., Ltd.; the export enterprises from January to April this year only had Beijing aircraft maintenance engineering limited. the company.
In 2006, the exporting regions were Myanmar, Hong Kong, and Turkey; in 2007, the exporting regions were Myanmar, Hong Kong, and Nigeria; in 2008, the exporting regions were Hong Kong and the United States. In 2009, the export area was the United States; from January to April this year, the export area was Germany.

Domestic demand is large, relying on imports In recent years, China's cardiac pacemaker imports and imports have shown steady growth, the import volume increased from 2,969.35 million US dollars in 2005 to 69,104,300 US dollars in 2009, with a compound annual growth rate of 26.49%; Imports have also doubled, from 25,400 in 2005 to 52,600 in 2009.
According to the statistics of the Ministry of Health, in 2008, the number of urban residents who died of heart disease in China reached 1.14 million. Heart disease has become the second most common disease in the city after malignant tumors. However, there are only 10,000 patients implanted with cardiac pacemakers, internal defibrillators or cardiac resynchronization devices each year, the proportion of which is far lower than that of developed countries such as Europe and the United States. The main reason is that the technology of domestic pacemakers is difficult to pass, and most of the patients use imported products.
From January to April this year, the import area of Chinese pacemakers is still dominated by European countries, and the products are imported from 6 countries. Europe is the leading country for the import of pacemakers in China. In 2009, China imported a total of 55.65 million US dollars of pacemakers from Europe, accounting for 80.46% of the total imports; 43461 pacemakers imported from Europe, accounting for 82.62% of the total imports.
Among them, the amount and number of pacemakers imported from Switzerland are the highest, respectively, being $9.6367 million and 7,102, which accounts for 44.01% of the total import value; followed by the United States and Germany, imported from these two countries. The proportion of cardiac pacemakers to the total amount is also around 20%. Sweden, Ireland and Spain are ranked 4-6.
The import mode of Chinese pacemakers is mainly based on the goods in the bonded area. In 2009, the amount of pacemaker imported by this method was US$559.869 million, accounting for 81.02% of the total import volume, followed by general trade, accounting for 18.52% of the total import value. The total ratio of the two exceeded the total import value. 99%.
From January to April of this year, the import trade pattern of pacemakers in China has changed little. The amount of this product imported from the warehousing and re-export goods in the bonded area is 16.928 million US dollars, accounting for 77.31% of the total import value; imported by general trade. The proportion of the amount increased slightly, reaching 21.83%.
There are about 10 companies that import cardiac pacemakers in China. In 2009, 11 companies engaged in the import of this product; from January to April this year, a total of 8 companies engaged in the import of this product. According to the import amount, the top three enterprises have a large import scale, and the proportion of imports to the total import value is about 90%. Among them, Medtronic Medical Products Technical Services (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and St. Jude Medical Products (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. are both in the top two in terms of imports in 2009 and January-April this year, and their import scale is much higher than other companies.
From the perspective of different types of enterprises, foreign-owned enterprises are the mainstay of Chinese pacemaker imports. In 2009, foreign-owned enterprises imported a total of 43,255 pacemakers, 57.037 million US dollars; their imports accounted for 82.54% of the total imports. State-owned enterprises ranked second, but far lower than foreign-owned enterprises. In 2009, a total of 5,737 pacemakers were imported, with a total of 647.27 million US dollars, and imports accounted for 9.37% of the total imports.
This trend has not changed from January to April this year. Foreign-owned enterprises imported a total of 17.24 million US dollars of pacemakers, accounting for 78.73% of the total imports; the proportion of state-owned enterprises' imports increased slightly, reaching 9.59%. The import value of private enterprises was 2,453,200 US dollars, accounting for 11.20%, an increase of 5 percentage points over 2009.
In terms of provinces, Shanghai, Beijing and Shaanxi are the main import provinces for Chinese pacemakers, with Shanghai and Beijing importing the most. In 2009, Shanghai imported a total of 42,746 products; the amount was 55,959,700 US dollars, accounting for more than 80% of the total imports. The import volume and import volume of Beijing and Shaanxi are similar. The import value of both in 2009 was about 6 million US dollars. The import value from January to April this year is also about 2 million US dollars. From January to April this year, in addition to Shanghai, Beijing and Shaanxi, Zhejiang also began to import the product, and the import volume and import volume were much lower than the first three regions.
