Pineapple storage technology

Different species have different tolerances for Tibetans, and Shenqi is more resistant to storage, the Philippines is the second, and Shala is the most resistant to Tibet. Pineapple is prone to rot and black heart disease during storage. The rot is mainly caused by soft rot. Within 5 hours after picking, applying a 10% solution of benzoic acid in alcohol can cure the wound. Black heart disease is caused by chilling injury. During the storage process, it should be noted that the temperature is kept above 7°C. Pineapple suitable storage temperature is 8 ~ 10 °C, relative humidity 85% ~ 90%. The pineapple used for storage should be harvested when the color of pineapple buds turns from dark green to light blue, and the maturity is too high, and the resistance to storage is reduced. After harvesting, the pineapple is put into a 0.06 mm plastic film bag and placed in a cool and ventilated place, keeping the temperature at 8 to 10°C.
