China plans to summarize the 10-year experience of the new rural cooperative system and promote the introduction of relevant regulations

The Ministry of Health held a press conference today to introduce the progress of the new rural cooperative medical system. The Director of the Department of Rural Health of the Ministry of Health, Yang Qingjian, stressed that in 2012, we must do a good job in the management of the new rural cooperative medical system, conscientiously summarize the experience of the implementation of the new rural cooperative medical system over the past 10 years, and promote the early implementation of the Regulations on the Management of New Rural Cooperative Medical System.

Yang Qing pointed out that in 2012, the new rural cooperative fund raising level should be taken as an opportunity to appropriately adjust the fund expenditure structure and the new rural cooperative compensation program, further improve the level of protection, explore the establishment of a multi-level system of major disease security, and strive to complete 2012 task.
