Domestic iodine particle biliary stent development

It is reported that the research team led by Professor Teng Junjun, Director of the Department of Interventional and Vascular Surgery of China University of Radiology, the Deputy Director of the Chinese Radiological Society, recently successfully developed the iodine particle biliary irradiation stent system. Compared with traditional stents, the use of biliary stents with iodine-125 particles for the treatment of malignant biliary obstruction is safe and effective. Postoperative stent patency is longer and is expected to prolong survival. Papers related to this result were recently published in the international authoritative journal "The European Journal of Hepatology."

Malignant bile duct obstruction is a common clinical disease. Once obstructive jaundice symptoms occur, only 10% to 20% of patients can be surgically removed. For patients who are inoperable, unobstructive jaundice plays a decisive role in its follow-up treatment.

Teng Junjun’s research team began developing biliary stents in November 2008 and successfully applied it to the clinic. The investigators randomly divided 24 subjects with malignant biliary obstruction into two groups. Subjects in the experimental group were implanted with a iodine-125 intraparticle irradiation stent with a traditional metal stent inlay, whereas subjects in the control group were only implanted with the traditional self-expanding stent. Metal stents. For 23 patients who completed the trial, the success rate of stenting technology was 100%. Except for 3 patients in the control group who died within 11 days after stenting, other patients with jaundice, pruritus, and other biliary obstruction symptoms gradually disappeared, and their physical status improved significantly.

In follow-up follow-up, median survival and mean survival were 7.4 months and 8 months, respectively, in the iodine-125 intradermal stenting group, whereas the median survival and mean survival were 2.5 months and 3.4 years in the control group. month. In addition, the incidence of complications in the iodine-125 intradermal irradiation stent group was significantly lower than that of the control group. No stent dislocation or radioactive particle leakage occurred, and the patient's stent remained unobstructed until follow-up.

It is understood that Teng Junjun’s research team’s research results “R&D and application of new digestive tract stents” won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2011. One of its core contents is the development and application of iodine 125 particle esophageal stents. The system subverts the idea that stents only have the function of opening esophageal occlusions and has no effect on tumor therapy, giving the stent a new function of directly treating malignant tumors. This application of the novel esophageal stent research concept to the biliary stent is another result of this team.

Pipette & Pipette Tips

Our plastic pipette includes serological pipette and disposable transfer pipette.

The serological pipette(pipette tip) is made of imported high quality polystyrene. Novel aspiration area design can fit most of the pipettors on the market. Mainly used for accurate measure or transfer certain volume liquid and is widely employed in the field of cell cuture, bacteriology, clinical research, etc. Six capacity 1ml, 2ml, 5ml, 10ml, 25ml and 50ml are available.

The disposable transfer pipette is made of superior LDPE material, non-toxic, adapted to draw, transfer or carry for small volume liquid. The soft material make the pipette can be bent with a certain angle, which is convenient for drawing or adding liquid in irregular or micro container. Individual pack or bulk pack are available.
