Recently, researchers from countries such as Anglo-French and other countries published their latest findings in the internationally renowned journal Nature Genetics. They used the GWAS method and correlation analysis between a large number of clinical cases and carriers of BRCA1/2 mutation genes. Six new invasive epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) susceptible sites. This study is of great importance for improving the accuracy of clinical risk prediction for BRCA1/2 mutant gene carriers.
The researchers noted that previous studies have found that people with BRCA1/2 mutations have a high risk of developing epithelial ovarian cancer, and 12 epithelial ovarian cancer susceptibility alleles have been found in population-based genome-wide association analysis (GWAS). Genes, the association patterns of these sites are consistent with the association patterns of BRCA1/2 mutant gene carriers. After blaming 1000 genomics data, the researchers analyzed the genetic variation and EOC risk of a large number of clinical samples and BRCA1/2 mutant gene carriers, and found six new EOC susceptibility. Sites are all significantly correlated with EOC risk.
In summary, the article identified six new susceptibility genes that may increase the risk of epithelial ovarian cancer by correlating a large number of clinical cases with BRCA1/2 mutation carriers. This study is of great significance for clinical prediction of EOC risk, prevention and treatment of EOC.
