The whole body of seabuckthorn is treasure root system, it is difficult to survive

The hometown of sea buckthorn is in Xinjiang, and the total output of sea buckthorn in Xinjiang accounts for more than half of the country. It is called "baobao" because the roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits of sea buckthorn, especially the fruit of sea buckthorn, are rich in nutrients and biologically active substances. . Moreover, sea buckthorn is very easy to survive, can withstand severe cold, wind and sand, air dry and high temperature resistance, low humidity, saline and alkali resistance, soil drought, barrenness, strong adaptability to soil and climate, easy to afforest, and not strict requirements for planting environment .

However, recently, the Hippophae rhamnoides seedlings purchased by a company in Jinghe County from the one, six, and six groups have been sprouting from mid-April to the current sprouting seedlings, and the survival rate is low, causing great losses. In order to find out the reasons for the low survival rate of saplings, the heads of the 1st, 6th, 1st and 7th companies commissioned Xinjiang Zhenguanda Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. to carry out agricultural technology appraisal.

After accepting the entrustment, the company immediately appointed appraisers Chen Jinmei and Hasyati Husain to form an appraisal group, and carried out on-site survey and investigation on the germination of seabuckthorn seedlings planted in the appraised and adjacent control areas. .

The appraisal staff said that the sea buckthorn seedlings planted in the appraisal site can be seen in the field, most of the upper branches have been dehydrated and dried, there are no new shoots, and there is a phenomenon of re-buds. Digging up the roots to remove the soil and taking out the seabuckthorn seedlings, it was found that part of the seabuckthorn seedlings' root epidermis and lignified parts lost water, and the places with high humidity had mildew and black. A part of the upper branches of seabuckthorn seedlings gradually appeared withered and died.

The appraisers looked at the identified sites and the results of the comparative survey. However, the same cultivation conditions in the same area showed a survival rate of 82.4% less than that of the control, indicating that the identified seabuckthorn seedlings had their own problems. According to the analysis of the investigation of the roots excavated, 60% of the roots of the seedlings involved did not absorb water, the root hairs were dry, and some roots had mildew, indicating that the seabuckthorn seedlings involved had severe water loss before planting, resulting in abnormal germination.

The reporter learned from the appraisal report of the appraisers that the sea buckthorn seedlings in this appraisal had less germination and low survival rate after planting. The main reason is that the sea buckthorn seedlings involved in the root system had serious water loss before planting. Cultivation management also has a causal relationship.

To this end, experts from Xinjiang Zhenguanda Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. stated that during planting seedlings, attention should be paid to the following points: 1. When starting a tree, care should be taken not to damage the root system. The seedlings must be strong and free from diseases and insect pests.

2. Care should be taken when planting, and the seedling should be filled while filling the soil to make the root system stretch. After filling the soil, it must be stepped on with layers of feet or other tools to ensure that the root system of the tree is tightly connected to the soil.

3. As the saying goes, "three-point planting, seven-point management", management is the key to survival. The maintenance and management of seedlings is very important. After planting, observe the water and fertilizer conditions at any time, and irrigate or fertilize in time to ensure the healthy growth of seedlings.
