According to the “Administrative Measures on Geographical Indications of Agricultural Products”, the Standardization Agricultural Industry Association of Xiangcheng District, Shandong Province, applied for the protection of geographical indications of agricultural products for “Fengcheng Pomegranate” agricultural products. After preliminary examination, expert review and public announcement, and in accordance with the procedures and conditions for the registration of geographical indications for agricultural products, the Ministry of Agriculture decided to grant registration on August 31, 2008.
