Second, timely sowing, cultivate strong seedlings
It is usually started from March 15th to 20th, and it is necessary to cover the seedlings with nylon film. Choose a sandy loam with fluffy soil, good fertility and sufficient sunlight as a seedbed. After precision land preparation, apply the manure fertilizer once and drain the corn seeds at a grain spacing of 3-5 cm. It is then covered with fine mud and is about one centimeter thick. After that, the cover film is kept warm. The seedling age is about 20 days, and the leaf age is 2 leaves from one heart to 3 leaves, avoiding overage transplanting and reducing yield.
Third, improve the quality of land preparation and transplanting, and ensure that the seedlings are evenly planted.
Before ploughing, 25-30 kg of ammonium bicarbonate is applied per acre, and 25 kg of superphosphate is used as the base fertilizer. After ploughing, the whole land is used as a base, and the width is 1.2 m, and two rows are planted. The soil with heavy soil viscosity can apply fertilizer at one time, that is, ditch in the center of the kneading surface, applying 75 kg of ammonium bicarbonate, 25 kg of superphosphate and 15 kg of potassium chloride per acre. Fertilizer should not be applied at one time in the sand-scarred water-scarred field. It should be fertilized according to the principle of “suitable seedling fertilizer and heavy application of panicle fertilizerâ€. After planting the corn seedlings, watering with 50% phoxim or 40% chlorpyrifos 1000 times to control underground pests. The transplanting density is 3300-3500 mu, and the plant spacing is about 33 cm. After transplanting to survive (about 7-10 days after planting), the seedling fertilizer should be applied in time, usually with dredged manure or 10 kg of ammonium sulfate per acre.
Fourth, strengthen management
Sweet corn varieties have multiple spikes and should be removed in time, one for each strain. During the bell mouth, BT emulsion (Bacillus thuringiensis) 600 times or 18% insecticidal double 500 times, or 90% crystal trichlorfon 1000 times liquid, to control corn borer. Highly toxic and high residual pesticides are strictly prohibited. Any pesticide should be stagnant 15 days before harvesting.
5. Isolation and cultivation from ordinary corn
Sweet corn and ordinary corn should be isolated and planted, begging at intervals of more than 300 meters to avoid the influence of cross-flowers on the corn character. Fresh sweet corn can be planted in batches to continue the supply to the market, avoiding the one-time maturity and the loss.
