According to a recent survey conducted by the county plant protection and phytosanitary inspection station, the field rate of Foxtail millet beetles is 55%, and the rate of damaged plants in the general plots is 5-8%. The high-yielding millet in early sowing is seriously affected, and the rate of the planted plants is more than 35%. There are larvae per plant. — 3 heads, the highest single plant has 6 insects. Prevention and control measures: 1. Manual killing: In the adult's prosperous period, it uses its characteristics of suspended animation, manual capture, and centralized elimination. Manually killing larvae when foxtail millet leaves have white spots and kneading heart or leaf sheaths from the bottom upwards can destroy more than 70% of larvae. 2. Chemical control: Use 0.3% matrine water agent 500-830 ml per acre, water 50 kg for routine spray; or 2.5% deltamethrin EC 1500-2000 times, or 4.5% beta-cypermethrin EC 800-1000 times liquid, sprayed in early morning and late in the heart of the seedlings.
